Immediate opening for an  Assistant Store Manager in  San Juan Capistrano, CA who possesses:

• 1+ year of retail experience
• 6+ months of shift lead, keyholder, supervisor, or similar leadership experience
• Excellent customer service skills
• Cash handling experience
• Availability to work nights, weekends, and holidays as needed

FULL DESCRIPTION:   We are seeking an Assistant Store Manager to support a growing children’s fashion retail brand at a new store location. This role will partner with the Store Manager to create an exceptional customer experience, drive sales, support daily store operations, maintain visual merchandising standards, process transactions, and help bring the brand story to life. The ideal candidate will have retail experience, customer service skills, cash handling experience, leadership experience, and the ability to support a positive team culture in a family-friendly retail environment.

The selected candidate will be responsible for:

• Delivering exceptional customer service and creating a welcoming store experience
• Supporting sales goals and helping drive store performance
• Partnering with the Store Manager on daily store operations
• Supporting merchandising, inventory, and product presentation
• Maintaining visual standards throughout the store
• Supporting product launches and new merchandise displays
• Processing customer transactions through Shopify POS
• Handling cash and supporting accurate register activity
• Assisting customers with product questions, sizing, styling, and purchases
• Helping foster a positive team culture
• Supporting a family-friendly and community-focused store atmosphere
• Building community connections and supporting local customer engagement
• Supporting store opening needs, stock organization, and daily workflow
• Maintaining a clean, organized, and customer-ready store environment
• Communicating professionally with customers, team members, and leadership
• Performing other duties as assigned

The selected candidate will also possess:

• 1+ year of retail experience required
• 6+ months of shift lead, keyholder, supervisor, or similar leadership experience required
• Excellent customer service skills required
• Cash handling experience required
• Shopify POS experience preferred
• Retail merchandising or inventory experience preferred
• Children’s fashion, apparel, boutique, or lifestyle retail experience preferred
• Passion for children’s fashion preferred
• Positive, self-motivated, and team-oriented approach
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills
• Ability to support a growing retail location
• Ability to work in a family-friendly shopping center environment
• Ability to stay flexible and support changing store needs
• Ability to work onsite in San Juan Capistrano, CA
• Availability to work nights, weekends, and holidays as needed
• Ability to support a full-time, permanent opportunity

Physical Requirements:

• Ability to stand and walk for extended periods throughout the shift
• Ability to bend, reach, stoop, crouch, lift, carry, push, pull, and move throughout the store as needed
• Ability to lift up to 50 pounds as needed
• Ability to use hands and fingers for POS transactions, tagging, folding, merchandising, inventory, stocking, and standard retail tasks
• Ability to visually inspect merchandise, displays, inventory, labels, receipts, and computer or POS screens as needed
• Ability to unpack, organize, merchandise, and move product throughout the store
• Ability to communicate with customers, team members, and leadership throughout the workday
• Ability to work in a retail environment while following applicable store policies and procedures

Salary Range: Starting at $25/hour plus commission
