Program Delivery Director

Eidra, a Nordic consulting collective, is expanding into the US market. We’re seeking an experienced Program Delivery Director to join our product and technology group based in Chicago. This role is suited for a program leader who can balance strategic oversight with the operational depth of software development and technical delivery, presenting to senior client stakeholders while working closely with squad leads to navigate delivery and technical challenges. In this role, you’ll help create clarity across teams and stakeholders, establish the operating rhythm for the program, and ensure work streams stay aligned, coordinated, and moving forward with momentum. This role is based in Chicago (3 days onsite). As part of Eidra’s expanding U.S. footprint, you’ll help establish our reputation for engineering excellence, strategy, and delivery in the American market. You’ll serve as the U.S. program delivery lead on one of our largest global accounts, partnering closely with a Sweden‑based program lead and a Chicago‑based account team responsible for client engagement and product strategy. Together, this leadership group owns the success of the overall program. Your primary focus will be delivery, with accountability for ensuring the broader program operates smoothly and effectively. In practice, that means staying closely connected to the work across multiple workstreams, maintaining visibility into dependencies, proactively surfacing risks, and helping teams move forward with clarity and momentum. You’ll also oversee program financials, including tracking actuals, monitoring burn against forecast, and supporting healthy margin management. You’ll work through delivery leads who manage the individual squads, while remaining engaged enough in the details to provide meaningful oversight and support. On larger, more complex workstreams—particularly a multi‑squad mobile application program—your initial focus will be to understand progress, blockers, and key decisions so you can confidently engage with senior client stakeholders and help drive resolution when needed. Because the program spans multiple geographies and leadership functions, an important part of the role will also be helping shape how the partnership operates day to day. That includes establishing and evolving communication rhythms, decision‑making approaches, and operating structures that help distributed teams stay aligned and effective. What we’re looking for. ~10+ years leading large‑scale, cross‑functional technology programs at $20M+ scope, across multi‑team or multi‑vendor environments. Financial fluency. You’ve owned program P&L or been close to it. You know how to read burn, protect margin, and have honest conversations when the numbers aren’t tracking. The ability to zoom out and zoom in. You’re as comfortable presenting a program health summary to a VP as you are untangling a delivery dependency with an engineering lead. Strong command of mobile application delivery. You understand how multi‑squad programs are structured, where the friction points live, and how to keep complex releases on track. A track record of building trust with senior stakeholders. You communicate clearly, set expectations honestly, and don’t wait for problems to surface before raising them. Experience designing ways of working across geographies and time zones. You know that distributed programs don’t run themselves, and you’ve built the structures that make them work. Familiarity with how AI and modern tooling can improve delivery operations. You don’t need to be an evangelist, but you should know what’s possible and when it’s worth reaching for. A feel for right‑sized process. You build the scaffolding a program needs and no more. The kind of person you are. You lead from the front, but you bring people with you. You’re direct without being rigid. You care about the work, not just the status report, and you hold yourself and others to a high standard because the details matter and the client deserves it. You’ll be embedded in a flagship account team, reporting to senior leadership at Eidra. Day to day, you’ll work with a broad stakeholder group on the client side, from VP‑level sponsors to Director‑level program owners, as well as your Swedish co‑lead and the delivery teams across our work streams. Salary range: $160,000–$180,000 USD per year, depending on experience and qualifications.
