2026-2027 Communications and Media Studies-2The Department of Communication and Media Studies is seeking a pool of candidates for temporary adjunct positions for the 2026-2027 academic year. Applications are encouraged by candidates with experience teaching communication & media-related courses to culturally and linguistically diverse students. The adjunct faculty will teach courses that equip students with the skills to effectively develop multimedia projects. Two years or more of successful teaching experience in Communication and Media Studies at the undergraduate college level in a multicultural environment.Normal Work Schedule - M-F, various class timesDepartment Required Skills - Excellent oral and written communication skills. Excellent interpersonal communication skills. Demonstrated success in multimedia. Ability to use various technologies & digital media applications to teach courses and engage students. Ability to teach effectively using best practices and a variety of instructional methods. Ability to work with students and colleagues from diverse backgrounds.Preferred Years Experience, Skills, Training, Education - Three years or more of teaching experience in Communication and Media Studies in a college/university environment. Teaching experience in a culturally diverse environment. Working knowledge of Canvas or similar learning management system. Evidence of utilizing Adobe Suite applications to engage students in the learning process. Communicate effectively with students and monitor their academic progress through EAB and other student success management systems. Foster student success and assist students in reaching their fullest academic, personal and professional potential. Responsible for classroom management and other duties as assigned by the department chair. Responsible for teaching, grading, and mentoring students.
