Location: Chicago Downtown - Hybrid 3 days per week Job Type: 6months contract Rate: $68.00 - 73.00 per our on W2 - Requires a In Person Interview - Local Candidates ONLY Candidates must be able to work on a W2 Basis without sponsorship *****NO C2C Help in ANY form**** About the Role We are seeking an Analytics Engineer / Data Experience Engineer to build intuitive, reliable ways for business users to consume and interact with data. You will own semantic models and user-facing analytical experiences—from Databricks Genie spaces and natural-language query patterns to custom dashboards and notebooks. Key Responsibilities Semantic & Metrics Modeling: Design and maintain governed semantic models, business definitions, and analytical datasets. Data Experience Configuration: Build user interfaces using Databricks Genie , dashboards, and fit-for-purpose notebooks. End-to-End Engineering: Handle backend query logic/pipelines as well as frontend configuration to translate business questions into accurate calculations. Usability & Optimization: Partner with Data Engineers to fix performance or quality issues, validating data accuracy, explainability, and user adoption. Qualifications 8+ years of engineering experience (Analytics Engineering, Data Engineering, or BI). Advanced SQL and dimensional/semantic modeling expertise. Hands-on experience with Databricks and natural-language analytics tools (e.g., Databricks Genie). Proven ability to build backend transformations and configure frontend user experiences. Working knowledge of data quality, access controls, performance tuning, and Git workflows. #J-18808-Ljbffr The Planet Group
