Organization Main OR Tech Support Job Summary Assist with the coordination of the daily patient surgical schedule. Ensures instrumentation and supplies are verified according to preference cards and added to case cart prior to entry into operating room. Ensures the appropriate specialty equipment is available and placed in each operating room prior to the scheduled procedure. Assists with the operating room turnover by utilizing proper sterile technique to open supplies and position specialty equipment. Shift Info 1st, 2nd, 3rd shifts available. Also weekend options available. Key Responsibilities Responds to emergency calls or requests for cleaning services. Assists in preparing the room for procedures to meet special equipment needs. Performs instrument sterilization for specialized instrument; turnovers utilizing principles of outlined by AAMI standards. Responsible for equipment, supply, and instrumentational preparation and cleanliness for surgical procedures. Technical Capabilities Sterilization Preparation (Intermediate): Demonstrates mastery of sterilization preparation in practical applications of a difficult nature. Possesses sufficient knowledge, training, and experience to be capable of successfully delivering sterilization preparation services without requiring support and instruction from others. Able to train and educate by setting the example, giving technical instruction, providing leadership, and generally raising the level of performance of others while on the job. Customer Service (Intermediate): Keeps management informed on all aspects of one or more projects. Takes personal responsibility to ensure external and internal customer satisfaction is met despite pressures and/or significant obstacles. Discusses options with customer for alternative ways to meet expectations cost‑effectively and efficiently. Surgical Equipment Knowledge (Intermediate): Demonstrates mastery of the equipment and related devices. Has solid knowledge of performance criteria. Able to use the equipment to accomplish advanced tasks associated with the specific devices. Easily resolves equipment problems.
