Medical Surgical Unit - Travel Registered Nurse

Shift: 7:00 PM - 7:30 AM

Experience:

• 24 months of experience with 3 months worked in the last 12 months.

• 24 months of Medical Surgical Unit experience with 12 months worked in the last 3 years.

• Travel experience is required.

• Experience with Epic is required.

Requirements:

• Candidates must have a Connecticut license or compact license (required after submission).

• This role may require floating to additional units and locations

• Travel only, local not allowed. Candidates must live >50 miles from facility to be submitted.

• COVID vaccination required after submission. Religious and medical declinations accepted.

• No current placement allowed at Program: Medical Solutions Plus Program - Middlesex Health System.

References: At least one reference must be from the same unit/specialty as the job you’re applying to.

Special Requests: - Local travelers within 50 miles are not accepted. - Cannot work another job and apply for this assignment. - No RTO within the first two weeks of start.

Unit Details: - Ratios: Days 1:3-4; nights 1:7-8. - General medical patient population. - CPAP HS only. - Nurses perform all respiratory treatments. - IV team available 7am-8:30pm; must try IV team first. Nurse resource available 24/7 for IV help, including 7pm-7am.

Shift & Scheduling: - Every other weekend is required; travelers must be able to work Sundays and the whole weekend. - Every other holiday.

14 days maximum time off. Start assignment restriction: 14 days

1 Manager/Supervisor reference required from within the last 12 months

1 reference required from within the last 3 years

Driver’s license required for submission

Certifications:

• BLS (Basic Life Support)

• ACLS (Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support)

• NIHSS (NIH Stroke Scale)
