Oliver's is seeking a polished, thoughtful and energetic seasonal Host to join our team. Founded by experienced chefs and service professionals from iconic restaurants like The French Laundry, The Ritz Carlton, and Scofflaw, we're committed to delivering exceptional dining experiences. This role is crucial in ensuring smooth service flow and guest satisfaction.
As the first point of contact for our guests, the Host plays a vital role in setting the tone for an unforgettable dining experience. We're seeking a warm, elegant and personable individual to welcome guests into our elevated establishment.
Key Responsibilities:
- Warm Welcome: Greet each guest with a genuine smile and warm hospitality, making them feel instantly welcome.
- Reservation Management: Expertly manage reservations, utilizing our booking system efficiently.
- Seating Coordination: Escort guests to their tables, ensuring a smooth transition and explaining any unique aspects of the dining room layout.
- Guest Inquiry Handling: Answer questions about the menu, wine list, or any other aspects of the dining experience with confidence and knowledge.
- Waitlist Management: Graciously manage the waitlist during busy periods, providing accurate wait time estimates and keeping guests informed.
- Ambiance Enhancement: Contribute to a welcoming and refined atmosphere by maintaining a clean and organized host stand.
- Communication Liaison: Maintain clear communication with the service team to ensure seamless coordination and guest satisfaction.
- Special Requests: Accommodate special requests whenever possible, such as seating preferences or dietary restrictions.
