Senior Accountant - General Ledger POST NUMBER: 141662

Overview We are seeking a Senior Accountant to support general ledger accounting, internal financial reporting, and control processes. This role will be responsible for ensuring the accuracy of financial records, supporting close activities, and partnering with finance leadership to identify and implement process improvements. The position offers exposure across multiple areas of accounting, with opportunities to collaborate cross-functionally and contribute to ongoing enhancements within the finance function. Key Responsibilities Support monthly, quarterly, and annual close processes, including preparation of journal entries, accruals, and supporting schedules Maintain accurate general ledger activity and ensure timely account reconciliations Assist with preparation and distribution of internal financial reports Partner with internal teams to ensure accurate recording of intercompany transactions Support accounts receivable and accounts payable processes as needed Investigate and resolve accounting discrepancies and issues Serve as a finance partner on cross-functional projects and process initiatives Evaluate current processes and recommend improvements to strengthen controls and efficiency Assist with audit support, including preparation of schedules and documentation for internal and external audits Complete ad hoc reporting and analysis as needed Qualifications Required: Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Finance 5 years of general ledger or public accounting experience Preferred: Experience with large ERP systems Strong data and reporting skills (Excel and related tools) Determining compensation for this role (and others) at Vaco/Highspring depends upon a wide array of factors including but not limited to the individual’s skill sets, experience and training, licensure and certifications, office location and other geographic considerations, as well as other business and organizational needs.
