Quality Control Analyst

About the Role Our client is seeking a diligent and methodical Quality Control Analyst to join their established laboratory in Welkom . This role is essential for ensuring the consistent quality and safety of pharmaceutical products manufactured by the company. You will perform a range of analytical tests on raw materials, in-process samples, and finished products, utilizing advanced laboratory equipment and adhering to strict quality standards. This position is ideal for an individual passionate about quality assurance within the pharmaceutical sector, contributing to product integrity and patient safety within a well-equipped and compliant facility. Key Responsibilities Conduct routine analytical testing of raw materials, intermediates, and finished pharmaceutical products using various techniques (e.g., HPLC, GC, UV-Vis spectroscopy). Prepare reagents, standards, and samples for analytical testing. Document all testing procedures and results accurately in accordance with Good Laboratory Practices (GLP) and GMP guidelines. Perform instrument calibration, maintenance, and validation activities. Investigate out-of-specification (OOS) results and participate in deviation investigations. Contribute to the development and validation of new analytical methods. Requirements Bachelor's degree in Chemistry, Pharmacy, or a related science field. Minimum of 2 years of experience in a quality control laboratory, preferably within the pharmaceutical industry. Proficiency with analytical instrumentation such as HPLC, GC, FTIR, and Karl Fischer titrators. Strong understanding of GMP, GLP, and relevant quality control principles.
