Wastewater OperatorManufacturer of Premium Meat Products in Fort AtkinsonBase Pay of $32.55 (more based on experience) + $2.00 Shift Bonus + $2.00 shift differential (hours worked between 2pm-6am)Jones Dairy Farm, a family owned and operated business for over 135 years, is searching for a Wastewater Operator. This is an excellent opportunity for an individual who can demonstrate critical thinking abilities, self-reliance, initiative, drive and the ability to work in a team environment.Position Summary:Responsible for the daily operation, monitoring, and basic maintenance of the wastewater treatment system to ensure safe, efficient, and compliant performance. This role supports process control, data collection, and equipment reliability while working closely with site leadership to maintain environmental and regulatory standards.Responsibilities:Collect wastewater samples for process monitoring and regulatory complianceOperate wastewater treatment equipment, read gauges/meters, and record operational dataPerform basic laboratory testing with minimal supervisionMonitor system performance using SCADA and make basic operational adjustments as neededAccurately enter data into computerized tracking systemsUtilize CMMS to complete and track preventive and corrective maintenance tasksPerform routine preventive maintenance with minimal supervisionAssist with maintenance and repair activities on pumps, motors, valves, and related equipment – Rebuild equipment as necessaryConduct daily facility walkthroughs, complete required documentation, and escalate issues as neededHandle and dose chemicals safely according to established proceduresUnderstand and follow Safety Data Sheets (SDS) and all safety protocolsAttend and actively participate in all trainings and programsSafely operate equipment such as forklifts, scissor lifts, and power toolsFollow daily task assignments provided by the site lead or managerMaintain proper housekeeping and organization within the wastewater facilityPerform other duties as assignedBasic Qualifications:Ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships with co-workers at all levels.Must exemplify the ability to work with minimal supervision.Excellent customer service skills such as problem solving, timeliness, and follow-up- required.Previous experience - 1+ years in Wastewater operations - requiredProficient with pneumatics, hydraulics, electrical systems, mechanical systems, PLCs, electronics, plumbing, welding, machine tools and schematic readingPrevious experience maintaining industrial equipment (pumps, motors, valves, actuators, etc.)Experience operating mobile equipment such as forklifts scissor liftsPhysical Requirements:Manual dexterity and visual acuity to operate office equipment efficiently. Ability to distinguish color. Require frequent walking, bending, standing, reach above shoulders, and sitting with exposure to production areas requiring use of safety equipment and exposure to cold, wet, damp, hot and noisy environments.
