About the Practice: A well-established and highly respected anesthesia group in northern upstate New York is seeking dedicated and skilled General Anesthesiologists for both full-time and locum tenens positions. The group provides exceptional anesthesia services across a broad range of B&B surgical specialties in a supportive and collaborative environment.


Opportunity: Immediate full-time and locums General Anesthesiologist job openings are available, covering a diverse case mix including obstetrics (OB), pediatrics, orthopedics, regional anesthesia, and outpatient surgery. No cardiac, trauma, or neuro cases are involved. Full-time positions include a call schedule of once per week with a post-call day off. Applications from graduating residents are welcome. A partnership track is available after two (2) years for full-time roles. Locums opportunities are also available.


Responsibilities:

• Provide and manage anesthesia for a wide variety of surgical and obstetrical procedures.
• Conduct thorough pre-anesthesia patient evaluations and develop individualized anesthetic plans.
• Administer general, regional, and monitored anesthesia care utilizing current techniques and medications.
• Continuously monitor patient vital signs and adjust anesthetic delivery to ensure patient safety and optimal surgical conditions.
• Manage emergence from anesthesia and provide appropriate post-anesthesia care.
• For full-time positions: Participate in a call schedule of 1x per week with a post-call day off.
• Maintain accurate and complete patient records in accordance with practice policies and procedures.
• Collaborate effectively with surgeons, nurses, and other healthcare professionals.
• Participate in quality improvement initiatives and adhere to all safety protocols.

Qualifications:

• Doctor of Medicine (MD) or Doctor of Osteopathic Medicine (DO) degree.
• Board certification in Anesthesiology by the American Board of Anesthesiology (ABA) or the American Osteopathic Board of Anesthesiology 1 (AOBA) or board-eligible.
• Current unrestricted medical license in New York State (or eligibility for licensure).
• Current BLS, ACLS, and PALS certifications.
• Strong clinical skills and the ability to manage a diverse patient population and case mix.
• Proficiency in a variety of anesthetic techniques, including general and regional anesthesia.
• Excellent critical thinking, problem-solving, and decision-making abilities.
• Effective communication, interpersonal, and teamwork skills.
• A commitment to providing high-quality, patient-centered care.

Compensation and Benefits:


Full-Time:

• Annual Salary: $650,000 on a W-2 basis.
• Partnership Track: Opportunity for partnership after two (2) years.

• Hourly Rate: $330 per hour.
