Data EngineerLocation: Lisle, IL (Hybrid, 4 days a week on site)Type: Contract to Perm HireClient: APEX System/Covista (Formerly Adtalem Global Education)Must haves from the manager:Strong SQL skillsHands-on data engineering experience (batch and real-time pipelines, data warehousing, data modeling)Airflow experience with Python proficiency (cloud experience required; GCP preferred, AWS acceptable)Contract / Contract-to-Hire & Length:6-month contract-to-hireStrong intent to convert to FTE at or before 6 monthsNo sponsorship; no future sponsorship allowedDay-to-Day Responsibilities / Project Details:Support Data Engineering initiatives across two Data Engineering Teams:Prospect TeamStudent TeamContribute to stabilizing and scaling the Data Engineering organizationTop 3 Requirements:Strong SQL skills (minimum ~7.5/10; critical requirement)Hands-on data engineering experience (batch and real-time pipelines, data warehousing, data modeling)Airflow experience with Python proficiency (cloud experience required; GCP preferred, AWS acceptable)
