Position Overview As the General Manager , you will be responsible for overseeing the daily operations of the dealership, ensuring both customer satisfaction and financial success. You will manage all aspects of the dealership, including sales, service, parts, and finance departments, while setting and achieving business goals. Your leadership will be key in driving the dealership's overall performance and maintaining its positive reputation in the community. Key Responsibilities Lead and manage all dealership operations, including sales, service, parts, and finance departments. Develop and implement strategies to achieve monthly, quarterly, and annual sales and profit goals. Oversee customer service initiatives and ensure an exceptional customer experience at all touchpoints. Analyze financial performance and create strategies for increasing profitability while managing costs effectively. Hire, train, and develop dealership staff, including department managers and sales personnel. Monitor inventory levels and ensure optimal stock of vehicles and parts to meet customer demand. Ensure compliance with all legal, financial, and safety regulations in dealership operations. Foster a positive and collaborative culture among employees to maintain a high-performance team. Lead marketing efforts to drive traffic to the dealership, including advertising, promotions, and community outreach. Maintain strong relationships with manufacturer representatives, vendors, and other stakeholders. Implement and enforce dealership policies and procedures, ensuring consistency across departments. Qualifications Proven experience (5+ years) as a General Manager or in a senior leadership role within the automotive dealership industry. Strong understanding of automotive sales, service, and financial operations. Exceptional leadership, management, and interpersonal skills. Strong business acumen with a track record of achieving financial targets and driving profitability. Excellent communication and negotiation skills. Ability to analyze financial reports and develop strategies for improvement. Ability to manage and motivate a team in a fast-paced, dynamic environment. High level of customer service focus with a strong commitment to customer satisfaction. Knowledge of dealership management software and CRM systems (e.g., CDK, Reynolds & Reynolds, or similar).
