Description: This position involves caring for patients with various solid tumor cancers throughout their treatment journey. The unit handles cases from new diagnosis through treatment and end-of-life care transition. The goal staffing ratio is 1:4, though it may be 1:5 based on unit needs. Floating to other units is required. Weekends may be variable depending on unit needs. A strong emphasis on infection prevention protocols and patient fall prevention is essential. The patient population includes adults and geriatrics. Common diagnoses treated include all subtypes of breast, lung, prostate, pancreatic, colon, and esophageal cancers. Candidates should be experienced with administering chemotherapy and managing telemetry. Additional skills include IV management, blood product administration, and care for patients with med-surg issues. Experience with computerized charting systems is necessary. Previous travel experience is preferred. References from professional contacts are required, with at least one from a supervisory role. Candidates must comply with credentialing requirements promptly.
