Civil /Geotechnical Engineer ll - Remote

Opportunity Overview Civil/Geotechnical Engineer II based in Juno Beach, FL, with remote work options. This is an 11‑month contract assignment (W‑2) for a Geotechnical/Civil/Structural Principal Subject Matter Expert (SME) role. Travel within North America up to 20% of the time is required. Day-to-Day Deliver responsive engineering support for wind, solar, energy storage, clean fuels, substation, and transmission projects within the Engineering & Construction Department Participate in design and constructability reviews and provide accurate comments and feedback to avoid schedule impacts Support resolution of critical execution‑phase issues that could adversely affect project budget and schedule if not addressed promptly Coordinate and secure external engineering consulting expertise to supplement and validate professional opinions Perform due diligence related to new technologies Support equipment and material technical evaluations, including review of manufacturing and fabrication non‑conformance reports Who You Are Master’s degree in civil engineering Professional Engineer (PE) license in at least one United States jurisdiction Eight or more years of experience in geotechnical engineering performing field investigations, reviewing laboratory data, and developing geotechnical reports Strong ability to offer recommendations, observe construction activities, review specifications and drawings, analyze complex geotechnical issues, and manage complex geotechnical projects Benefits Comprehensive health and income protection benefits 401(k) savings plan Paid vacations for qualifying positions Competitive pay: $45.00‑$50.00 per hour (dependent on experience, qualifications, and skills) Equal Opportunity Employer Veterans and individuals with disabilities are encouraged to apply. #J-18808-Ljbffr Westinghouse Electric Company
