Young & McQueen Grading Company Inc. is a complete site development contractor and for over 25 years we have been developing sites for our customers throughout Western North and South Carolina. Our construction services include all site related scopes of work from the initial site clearing through the finish paving and seeding. We are "heavy – highway" oriented with capabilities in large site preparation, highway construction, bridge construction, and retaining wall construction. Our resume includes work on university campuses, state highways, commercial and industrial sites, large housing developments, golf courses, health care and government facilities, recreation areas and hundreds of individual residential sites.

Applicant must be knowledgeable and experienced in crane operation activities of safe operation, rigging, signaling, load calculations, lift plans, etc. Able to operate 70 Sumitomo SC 700 and 70 American 5300 cranes and direct activities of ground support personnel.

All construction is in outside weather conditions where employees are expected to dress appropriately.

This a full time position with frequent long hours and weekend work. A work week that may vary dependent on weather, time of year, and other concerns is normally 7 am to 5:30 pm Monday through Friday with work schedule every other Saturday.

Present projects are in North Wilkesboro, NC and Spartanburg, SC. Workers receive housing and meal per diem allowances.

Wage rate dependent on experience but usually $25 or so depending on experience.
