Job Overview: At Cooperman Barnabas Medical Center, Registered Nurses become part of a 56 bed Level III NICU with an amazing team of knowledgeable nurses who provide care for very low birth weight and full-term infants. A strong multidisciplinary approach to QI, a strong family advisory council, and a very active unit-based practice council plus unit-based committees. The unit presents as a Team Daisy and Infection Control award recipient. Additionally, you must be a graduate from an accredited school of nursing, hold an active New Jersey Registered Nurse license in good standing, a NRP certification, and a current American Heart Association BLS certification. A bachelor’s degree in nursing and I.V. certification from an approved facility is strongly preferred, as is prior patient care experience and comfort with electronic medical record systems (EMR) like EPIC. This position offers a per diem schedule: 2 – 12.5‑hour shifts per month (both shifts on weekend), 1 – 12.5 hour Summer Holiday (Easter, July 4th, Labor Day), 1 – 12.5 hour Winter Holiday (Thanksgiving, Christmas, New Year’s), allowing you to build strong patient relationships while maintaining balance.
