This position is under a Collective Bargaining Agreement in a union environment and the hourly rate is $44.67/hr Job Summary Perform maintenance on all mechanical and electrical components of all manufacturing and processing equipment. Repair and maintain all mechanical, electrical. Perform maintenance on all auxiliary equipment, buildings, grounds, and building. Work as directed by the Maintenance Supervisor. Set-up and operate machines to repair or fabricate new repair parts. Operate cutting and welding equipment. Unload, move, install equipment, and operate forklifts and company vehicles. Record maintenance work performed on equipment. Candidates must possess the ability to read, interpret, and perform work based on blueprints and/or CAD drawings. Duties & Responsibilities Move material as requested and be responsible for the quality of their work. Responsible for the cleaning and basic maintenance of equipment, general housekeeping, and 6S activities within their work areas. Must be able to read, comprehend, and apply processes, criteria and required procedures. Perform work in a safe and environmentally advantageous manner by following all safety, regulatory, and environmental rules, policies, and procedures. Communicate business-related issues or opportunities to next management level. Responsible for ensuring that subordinates follow all Company guidelines related to Health, Safety and Environmental practices and that resources needed are available and are in good condition, if applicable. Ensure personal and Company compliance with all federal, state, local and Company regulations, policies, and procedures. Perform other duties assigned as needed. Experience and Education High school education or equivalent. Utilize and apply complex drawings, specifications, charts, tables, handbook formulas, shop mathematics, and a wide variety of precision-measuring instruments. Broader knowledge of mechanical equipment, electricity, plumbing, carpentry, construction, experience with PLCs and grounds keeping acquired through a four-year accredited apprenticeship or eight or more years of diversified experience in industrial maintenance. Ability to read, understand, and apply relevant codes, including electrical codes and safety practices. Required to obtain and maintain forklift operator accreditation.
