Role Responsibilities Conduct thorough evaluations to assess the needs of patients from pediatric to geriatric demographics using standardized tools and observational methods. Craft individualized treatment plans addressing both immediate and enduring communication, cognitive, or swallowing challenges. Deliver targeted therapy sessions focused on enhancing communication, language, fluency, voice, and swallowing capabilities. Work collaboratively with a multidisciplinary team, including physical and occupational therapists, nurses, physicians, caregivers, and families, to harmonize care strategies. Educate patients and their families to ensure progress and continuity outside of clinical sessions. Participate in the occasional inpatient speech therapy evaluations and interventions, fostering seamless care for those in your charge. Uphold meticulous and timely documentation that complies with state, federal, and organizational regulations. Engage in continuous professional development and peer collaboration to stay at the forefront of the field. Qualifications Master's degree in Speech-Language Pathology from an accredited institution. Completion of a Clinical Fellowship Year (CFY) if not yet ASHA-certified. Licenses and Certifications Active state licensure as a Speech Language Pathologist . Preferred: Certificate of Clinical Competence (CCC-SLP) from ASHA. Basic Life Support (BLS) certification to be obtained within 30 days of employment. Exceptional interpersonal skills to connect with patients, families, and interdisciplinary teams. Capacity to tailor therapeutic approaches to cater to diverse cultural and linguistic necessities. Strong clinical decision-making and problem-solving proficiency. Comfort with electronic medical records and adherence to documentation norms.
