Must operate forklift in a manner that meets all safety standards.ResponsibilitiesComplete pre-shift OSHA inspection and related paperwork on forklift truck; clean truck as outlined in procedureContinuously perform all required tasks in a safe manner, adhering to all established safety rules and procedures. Must take immediate action to correct and/or report any unsafe conditions and hazardsKeep work area clean and organized, per standardsFollow all applicable food service policies and proceduresFollow all PPE policies, wearing steel toed shoes, hearing protection, safety glasses, hair nets/beard nets, etc. as requiredOperate forklift in a safe and efficient manner, following all applicable forklift procedures and rulesReport any mechanical problems with forklift so they can be repairedLoad trucks in a manner that they will arrive in good condition, ensuring that product count is correct. Handle all other duties required for loading trucks, i.e., wheel chocks in place, dock plates in place, and jack stands/dock locks in placeSpot-check product for qualityUnload trucks, and check inbound product for accurate counts, quality, and all other duties required for unloading trucks, i.e., wheel chocks, dock plates, jack stands/dock locks in placeHandle general maintenance and housekeeping of entire warehouse area, including sanitation checks on trailersKnow and understand fire prevention rules, policies and proceduresMeet/achieve shipping goals set forth by managementQualificationsHigh school diploma, GED, or applicable work experience1-3 years of experience driving a forklift is necessaryMust be able to pass forklift trainingMust be able to operate motorized vehicle and possess a valid state driver's licensePhysical RequirementsLifting; a minimum of 50Carrying; a minimum of 50PushingReaching above shouldersUse of fingersStandingKneelingBending; 6 hoursOperation of forklift narrow aisle or other vehicleVisual abilityDepth perceptionHearing ability
