Job Description As a Security Officer Full Time Screening Compliance in West Palm Beach, FL , you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Government, and more. As a Screener at a government location, you will help maintain a secure environment by monitoring access points, screening visitors and belongings, verifying credentials, and reporting security-related concerns. You will provide professional customer service while helping to deter incidents through a visible, approachable presence. Position Type: Full Time Pay Rate: $19.85 / Hour Job Schedule: Tue 07:00 AM - 04:00 PM Wed 07:00 AM - 04:00 PM Thur 07:00 AM - 04:00 PM Fri 07:00 AM - 04:00 PM What You'll Do: Provide customer service to visitors, personnel, and members of the public while carrying out site-specific screening procedures and security-related policies at a government facility. Screen individuals and belongings using designated screening equipment and procedures, identifying prohibited items or irregularities and reporting findings according to established protocols. Control access to designated areas by verifying credentials, directing visitors, and maintaining accurate visitor and incident documentation. Respond to alarms, incidents, and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, notifying appropriate personnel and following emergency response procedures. Conduct regular and random patrols of assigned areas and the perimeter to help deter unauthorized activity and report suspicious conditions. Minimum Requirements: Possess at least 3 years of combined law enforcement, military, and/or security-related experience, or a college degree. Provide proof of a high school diploma or GED as required by the client. Be at least 21 years of age. Customer service experience is preferred. A guard card or license is preferred. Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles. Possess a high school diploma or equivalent. As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
