RN Registered Nurse - Intensive Care Unit (ICU) - Travel / Contract - Night

Position Overview Travel ICU Registered Nurse – 13‑week assignment in Sonora, California.The role requires one year of recent ICU RN experience, a valid RN license in compliance with state regulations, and Critical Care Registered Nurse (CCRN) certification. Responsibilities Provide comprehensive critical care to patients in the intensive care unit. Assess, monitor, and intervene with critically ill patients to stabilize and improve clinical outcomes. Operate and manage advanced life‑support equipment and perform advanced hemodynamic monitoring, including arterial lines, central venous pressure, and pulmonary artery catheters. Administer complex medications and treatments in accordance with advanced critical care nursing techniques. Maintain accurate, timely documentation of all assessments, interventions, and patient responses in the medical record to ensure continuity of care and regulatory compliance. Provide education to patients and families about ICU interventions, recovery expectations, and discharge planning. Communicate closely with interdisciplinary teams to optimize patient care and support quality improvement initiatives for better ICU outcomes. Adhere to strict infection control, safety protocols, and regulatory standards, particularly to protect immunocompromised patients. Participate in ongoing education and training to maintain proficiency in critical care procedures and technology. Qualifications One year of recent ICU RN experience. Valid RN license and compliance with state regulations. CCRN certification. Strong critical care skills, advanced clinical judgment, and excellent communication abilities. Commitment to highest standards of patient safety, professional ethics, and quality care in high‑acuity settings. Ability to read, write, and communicate in English. Physical Requirements Remain in a stationary position, move about, move equipment (50‑100 lbs), push, pull, and bend as required. Mental Requirements Ability to cope with frequent contact with the general public and customers while meeting deadlines under pressure.
