The Host / Hostess enhances customer satisfaction by preparing and setting up the buffet with complimentary food and beverage items in accordance with established policies and procedures, as well as applicable health-related regulations and laws. Essential functions include preparing food and beverage items in a timely manner prior to meal hours, setting up the food buffet with scheduled items, continuously inspecting the buffet to ensure all items are available for guests, maintaining the buffet area in a clean and sanitary manner, responding to customer concerns in a timely, professional, and courteous manner, maintaining appropriate inventory levels, and other duties as assigned by management. Skills required include excellent time management, strong customer service, ability to work independently or in a team environment, action-oriented, aggressive customer service, dependability, productivity, and work quality. Education and experience requirements include high school education or equivalent work experience, and completion of any additional training required by manager or as assigned by the Brand or Moody. Licenses and certifications required include Food Preparation / Food Handling certification to comply with applicable state and local ordinances and brand policies. Physical demands include standing, bending, kneeling, walking, reaching with hands and arms, occasionally lifting products and supplies up to 50 pounds, exposure to extremely hot equipment, utensils and food, exposure and use of chemical cleaning solutions. Work days and work hours may vary.
