Description: The House Supervisor oversees the nursing staff and is responsible for ensuring optimal patient care. This role requires effective management of unit operations during night shifts. The supervisor will coordinate staffing and address any clinical concerns. Candidates must have completed at least one travel assignment. No on-call duties or floating to different units are required. The position involves holiday and weekend rotation as necessary. Certifications required are ACLS, BLS, and NIHSS. A Bachelor's degree in nursing is essential. The patient-to-nurse ratio is typically 1:5-6. The House Supervisor functions as a clinical expert resource and may participate in process improvement activities. Candidates should have experience in coaching and counseling nursing staff. Knowledge of regulatory requirements and guidelines is crucial. This role includes managing performance standards and staffing requirements. Centralized and decentralized staffing experience is beneficial. Candidates must possess strong leadership and communication skills. The role may include supporting interdisciplinary teams and maintaining compliance with health and safety protocols.
