IT Business Analyst

Salary: $55,000 - 60,500 per year Requirements:

* Bachelors degree in business, information systems, operations, or a related field, or equivalent experience * 3-5 years of experience in a business analyst, operations analyst, or process documentation role * Demonstrated experience documenting workflows and developing standard operating procedures (SOPs) * Strong writing, organizational, analytical, communication, and facilitation skills * Ability to engage stakeholders across multiple departments and collaborate cross-functionally * Proficiency with documentation tools and Microsoft Office * Ability to observe and analyze business processes, gather requirements, document workflows, and identify inefficiencies or improvement opportunities * Awareness of how systems, tools, and processes interact, including dependencies and impacts * Ability to maintain accurate, consistent documentation and exercise sound judgment when verifying how processes are performed * Adaptability, attention to detail, professionalism, and discretion when handling sensitive operational information * Authorized to work in the United States * Preferred: Experience in insurance, an MGA, financial services, or another regulated environment * Preferred: Familiarity with operational, underwriting, claims, or service workflows * Preferred: Experience supporting technology or system implementation projects * Preferred: Experience maintaining internal knowledge bases or process libraries * Preferred: High school diploma or equivalent * Ability to commute to Coral Springs, Florida 33071

Responsibilities:

* Meet with department leaders to understand current workflows, procedures, and operational practices * Analyze and document business processes, including their inputs, outputs, dependencies, and handoffs * Turn informal or undocumented processes into clear, structured documentation * Develop and maintain SOPs, process maps, guides, and internal reference materials * Build and maintain a centralized internal process encyclopedia or knowledge base * Identify and document process gaps, inefficiencies, and inconsistencies * Work with leadership and subject matter experts to validate documented processes * Ensure documentation reflects actual practices and aligns with company standards and policies * Provide business requirements and process context for technology and system initiatives * Document system workflows, user interactions, and data touchpoints as needed * Manage document version control and update materials as processes change * Support change initiatives by revising SOPs and clearly communicating process changes * Help teams clarify procedures and workflows
