Special Procedures Technologist

Job Summary Position is full time, benefits eligible and offers a $20k Sign on Bonus. Responsible for performing specialized diagnostic and therapeutic procedures using imaging techniques such as X‑rays, fluoroscopy, and ultrasound. Works closely with physicians and other medical staff to ensure accurate and safe procedures for patients. Essential Functions Conduct various diagnostic imaging procedures, including angiography, cardiac catheterization, interventional radiology, and vascular procedures. Prepare the patient for procedures, explain the process, and position the patient appropriately for optimal imaging results. Operate specialized imaging equipment to capture images of the patient's internal structures. Ensure equipment functions correctly, make adjustments as necessary, and maintain a sterile and safe environment. Work closely with radiologists, cardiologists, and other physicians during procedures. Ensure patient safety during procedures by monitoring vital signs, responding to patient discomfort or emergencies, and maintaining a sterile environment. Qualifications Education: High School Diploma or equivalent required; Associate’s Degree in Radiologic Technology preferred. Licenses and Credentials: NH Radiologic Technologist license required; Registered Technologist (ARRT‑R) required; BLS required. Experience: Experience with imaging techniques (X‑rays, fluoroscopy, ultrasound) 0‑1 year preferred; experience in lieu of degree not accepted. Knowledge, Skills and Abilities: Strong understanding of human anatomy and physiology, particularly cardiovascular and interventional radiology. Proficiency in various imaging techniques used in special procedures. Skill in operating and maintaining specialized imaging equipment. Understanding of radiation safety principles and protocols. Strong patient care skills, including communication, emotional support, and ensuring comfort during procedures. Critical thinking and problem‑solving skills.
