Variable shifts for days and nights are included. The therapist will work with patients primarily experiencing acute on chronic respiratory failure. Interdisciplinary support teams are available, including physical therapy and pharmacy services. Special procedures may include EEG, EKG, and bronchoscopies. Experience with a variety of respiratory equipment is required. Daily patient ratios will be maintained at approximately 2 patients during day and night shifts. Weekend coverage is expected, with every other or every third weekend required.
