Job Summary

We are seeking a dedicated and experienced Registered Nurse (RN) for a travel assignment in a Level III Neonatal Intensive Care Unit (NICU) within a large volume delivery hospital in Atlanta, Georgia. This role is critical in providing specialized, high-acuity care to neonates requiring intensive medical intervention.

The successful candidate will be responsible for comprehensive nursing care, monitoring, and support for critically ill newborns, collaborating with a multidisciplinary team to ensure optimal patient outcomes in a dynamic and challenging environment.

Key Responsibilities

• Provide direct patient care to neonates in a Level III NICU setting, including assessment, planning, implementation, and evaluation.
• Administer medications, monitor vital signs, and manage complex medical equipment specific to neonatal care.
• Collaborate with physicians, neonatologists, and other healthcare professionals to develop and implement individualized care plans.
• Educate and support families regarding their infant's condition and care needs.
• Maintain accurate and thorough patient documentation in the electronic health record system.
• Respond to emergent situations and initiate appropriate interventions.

Required Qualifications

• Minimum of two (2) years of recent, acute care experience as a Registered Nurse in a Level III Neonatal Intensive Care Unit (NICU).
• Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification from the American Heart Association (AHA).
• Current Neonatal Resuscitation Program (NRP) certification.
• Proficiency with Cerner electronic health record (EHR) system.
• Must reside outside a 50-mile radius from the facility location.
