Job Description

Job Summary:
The Recreational Therapist plans and implements activity programs to meet the social, recreational, physical, educational, and spiritual needs of patients or residents in healthcare settings. The role promotes mental and physical well-being, fostering dignity, self-confidence, and a sense of purpose among individuals.

Responsibilities:

• Develop and coordinate personalized activity programs tailored to patients'/residents' needs and abilities.
• Assess individual needs and capabilities to create meaningful and engaging activities.
• Supervise and train staff on activity programming and therapeutic methods.
• Monitor and evaluate program effectiveness and implement improvements.
• Manage program budgets and ensure resource availability.
• Maintain accurate documentation and communicate effectively with healthcare teams.

Qualifications:

• Possess a minimum of three (3) years' experience as an Activities Coordinator in healthcare environments.
• Demonstrate knowledge of human anatomy and therapeutic activity practices.
• Proficient in administrative skills, including budget management and program planning.
• Hold valid Basic Life Support (BLS) certification for Healthcare Workers.
• Possess a valid Driver's License and excellent communication skills in English.
