We are looking for an English Teacher for an International School based in Beijing. This position is available from the upcoming 2026/27 academic year in August 2026.About the schoolLocated in Haidian District, Beijing, this large K–12 day and boarding school offers international, bilingual, and national divisions on a modern campus with extensive sports, arts, and residential facilities. As the only certified SAT, TOEFL, and AP test center in the district, it provides students with clear pathways to top universities worldwide, while offering teachers a collaborative, internationally oriented environment and excellent professional growth opportunities.ResponsibilitiesPlan and teach high-quality English lessons for senior high school students, with a focus on advanced reading, academic writing, speaking, and critical analysis.Prepare students for internal assessments and external examinations (e.g. school finals, international exams) through targeted instruction and practice.Contribute to the ongoing development of the high school English curriculum, including units on literature, non-fiction texts, and academic writing.Design a range of formative and summative assessments and provide clear, timely feedback to help students track and improve their performanceCreate a supportive, academically rigorous classroom environment that encourages discussion, debate, independent thinking, and strong study habits.Differentiate instruction to support students at varying proficiency levels, including those who need reinforcement and those aiming for top university pathways.Collaborate with colleagues on cross-curricular projects and whole-school literacy initiatives.Promote the 4C skills (communication, collaboration, critical thinking, creativity) and foster cross-cultural awareness through course content and classroom activities.Communicate regularly with parents and guardians about student progress, goals, and areas for development.Support the wider school community by leading or assisting with English-related clubs (e.g. debate, Model UN, writing club), school events, duties, and routine admin such as attendance and grading.QualificationsBachelor’s or higherRelevant teaching experience in an international settingBackground in teaching English, English Literature or relatedSalary and benefitsNegotiable salary package commensurate with experience and qualificationsMonthly housing allowance of up to 7,000 RMBAnnual performance bonus of up to 200% pre-tax monthly salaryRelocation allowance both for overseas and domesticOnboarding flight/train reimbursementAnnual flight allowanceWorld-wide medical insurance Health CheckMeals provided on school daysEducational benefits for childrenPaid public summer and winter holidaysPaid leave; sick, maternity, marriage, bereavementProfessional Development fundLongevity Bonus
