Ability to work under minimal supervision is required.Qualifications and abilitiesEducation: High school diploma required.Experience: Minimum two years of work experience in repair and maintenance work, including one year of experience working with plumbing and electrical work.Credentials: Must have a valid driver license and a reliable driving record.Physical Ability: Capacity to lift up to 50 pounds from the ground.Tech Skills: Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook).Core Skills: Strong organizational skills with a proven ability to complete assigned tasks independently.General duties include but are not limited toFacility Repairs & Improvements: Execute routine shelter maintenance, facility upgrades, and troubleshooting to ensure a safe, operational environment.Vendor & Service Coordination: Source outside contractors, coordinate specialized repairs, and manage service payments and vendor relationships efficiently.Operations & Equipment Maintenance: Oversee daily functionality of essential shelter infrastructure, ensuring laundry facilities and specialized machinery operate properly.Safety Committee Representation: Act as the department representative for the Waikiki Health safety committee, strictly enforcing site safety protocols and regulations.Compliance & Administrative Support: Partner with the Housing First Manager to ensure full facility compliance while maintaining strict client confidentiality at all times.Other duties as assigned*Waikiki Health requires proof of the following immunization; with or without reasonable accommodation: TB skin test or chest x-ray, Hep B (optional).Waikiki Health is an Equal Opportunity Employer that does not discriminate on the basis of actual or perceived race, color, creed, religion, national origin, ancestry, citizenship status, age, sex or gender (including pregnancy, childbirth and pregnancy-related conditions), gender identity or expression (including transgender status), sexual orientation, marital status, military service and veteran status, physical or mental disability, genetic information, or any other characteristic protected by applicable federal, state or local laws and ordinances.
