Location: Near Lawrence Elementary School, Arvada CO 80002
Schedule: Flexible, Ongoing care as needed
Start: ASAP
Children: One infant (5-6 months old)
Salary: $25-$30 per hour (DOE)
We are looking for a reliable, flexible on-call babysitter to help care for our 6-month-old son. I work from home, and my wife is a nurse with a rotating schedule, so our weekly needs vary quite a bit. Some weeks we may need only one day of support, while others we may need up to three to 1 week. Shifts can range from about 4 to 8 hours depending on how our schedules line up.
Our son is a happy, easygoing baby who is right on track developmentally. We're hoping to find someone nurturing, dependable, and comfortable with a schedule that may look different from week to week.
RESPONSIBILITIES
- Provide attentive care for our 6-month-old
- Support feedings and naps
- Engage him in age-appropriate playtime and tummy time
- Take him on walks outside
- Ensure that if he becomes fussy or crying, he is in his nursery or another room with the door closed so I can continue working
- Optional but appreciated: light tidying while he naps (bottles, dishes, play area, nursery, or general household pick-up)
REQUIREMENTS
- Comfortable with a flexible, changing weekly schedule
- Prior experience caring for infantsUp-to-date vaccinations appreciated but not required
- No pets in the home
- No driving required (a car will be available if needed)
