Job Summary: Provide essential support to nursing staff by delivering direct patient care, facilitating communication, and performing clerical duties. Essential Responsibilities:
Fiscal Responsibility: Efficiently manage supplies and equipment, complete assignments promptly, adhere to shift schedules, and support unit goals to reduce waste.
Quality: Participate in documentation according to unit standards, stay current with policy updates, problem-solve within scope, multitask effectively, and contribute ideas to improve patient flow and experience.
Patient Satisfaction: Promote positive patient interactions through timely responses, professional conduct, purposeful rounding, and maintaining a quiet, respectful environment.
Patient Safety: Practice safe patient mobilization, use two patient identifiers for all tasks, report unusual occurrences, adjust care routines as needed, and comply with HIPAA and social media policies.
Professional Growth: Share knowledge with colleagues, demonstrate leadership, participate in orientation and training, identify learning needs, and engage in departmental goal development.
Customer Service: Engage patients and families with professionalism, flexibility, and teamwork, practicing AIDET communication techniques and fostering positive interdepartmental relationships.
Education and Experience Required: - High school diploma or GED, or current/past CNA license, or completion of a CNA program with 5+ years of CNA experience accepted in lieu of diploma. - Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required within 3 months of hire. Work Shift: 1st Shift Scheduled Weekly Hours: 38 This position serves a diverse patient population in a regional healthcare setting within the Midwest United States.
