Schedule / Job Type

Contract (13 Weeks) | Monday – Friday, 7:00 AM – 5:30 PM | On-call requirements apply | Onsite

Key Responsibilities

• Provide Phase I and Phase II post-anesthesia recovery care for a diverse patient population including infants, pediatrics, adults, and geriatrics
• Deliver care across multiple surgical service lines including Orthopedics, General Surgery, ENT, Cataracts, OB/GYN, Urology, and Endoscopy
• Maintain patient ratios of 1:1–2 within a 9-bed PACU unit
• Fulfill on-call requirements of up to 8 days per month, including weekends and holidays, with a 30-minute response time
• Float within department to Pre-Op as needed
• Document patient care accurately using MedHost EHR

Required Qualifications

• Active RN licensure valid to practice in the state of Kentucky
• ACLS certification required prior to start
• BLS certification required prior to start
• PALS certification required prior to start
• Minimum 3+ years of PACU experience
• Must reside at least 60 miles from the facility to be eligible as a travel candidate

Preferred Experience / Skills

• Experience with Phase I and Phase II recovery across a broad range of surgical specialties
• Strong teamwork and communication skills in a fast-paced surgical environment
• Familiarity with common diagnoses and treatments in Orthopedics, General Surgery, and Endoscopy
