Critical Care/ICU/PICU/NICU Physician Assistant

A medical center in Livingston, New Jersey is seeking a licensed Nurse Practitioner (NP) and/or Physician Assistant (PA) for locum coverage in a Level III/IV Neonatal Intensive Care Unit (NICU). This role offers the opportunity to provide advanced care for critically ill and premature newborns as part of a collaborative multidisciplinary team.
About the Opportunity:
- Shift: Days or Nights
- Schedule: 12-hour shifts (Weekdays and Weekends)
- Hours: 7am to 7pm or 7pm to 7am
- Setting: Inpatient NICU
Responsibilities:
- Provide comprehensive care for critically ill and premature neonates in the NICU
- Attend high-risk deliveries and provide neonatal resuscitation and stabilization
- Manage acute and complex neonatal conditions
- Collaborate with neonatologists and multidisciplinary care teams
- Document patient care in the EPIC electronic medical record system
Qualifications:
- NJS Nurse Practitioner (NP) and/or Physician Assitant (PA) license
- Board Certification
- Experience managing critically ill neonates in a NICU setting
Desired Skills:
- Background in Level III or Level IV NICU care
- Experience with Neonatal resuscitation and stabilization
- Experience with Epic EMRs
