Clinical Research Postdoctoral Scholar

Position Overview The Department of Urology at Penn State College of Medicine in Hershey, PA is seeking a Clinical Research Postdoctoral Scholar to support and expand the department’s sponsored and investigator‑initiated research portfolio. This is a term position; the length of the term will be discussed during the interview process and continuation beyond the term length will be based on university need, performance, and/or availability of funding. Remote and Hybrid Work Approval of remote and hybrid work is not guaranteed regardless of work location. Key Responsibilities Serve as the primary coordinator for a variety of human subject clinical trials and partner with faculty to design and operationalize investigator‑initiated protocols. Manage all stages of clinical trial execution, from study startup through closeout, including regulatory oversight, recruitment, clinical visits, and data collection. Perform data management duties including REDCap, TriNetX, database development, data quality oversight, and statistical support. Develop pilot or feasibility studies, including device testing, biobanking, and interdisciplinary collaboration. Contribute to abstracts, manuscripts, posters, and grant applications. Provide mentorship and guidance to Urology faculty, medical students, and residents in academic research. Demonstrate strong organizational skills and the ability to manage multiple concurrent projects. Qualifications M.D. or Ph.D. with experience or equivalent training in urology, clinical research, or a related field. Self‑motivated, detail‑oriented, and capable of working independently as well as collaboratively within a multidisciplinary team. Strong communication skills in writing and presentation. Experience with human subject research protocols and compliance procedures.
