We are seeking a detail-oriented and reliable Quality Assurance Specialist to join our production team. In this role, you will be responsible for conducting hands-on structural and component inspections to ensure all manufactured parts meet strict technical specifications and safety standards. This is an entry-level position focused heavily on physical inspections, product testing, and precise documentation.

Key Responsibilities

Qualifications & Key Requirements

  • Core Skills: Hands-on experience performing basic visual inspections and dimensional checks on fabricated metal or weldments.
  • Technical Literacy: Ability to read and interpret basic mechanical drawings, fabrication blueprints, and measurement scales.
  • Tools: Proficiency using common hand tools and precision inspection instruments (calipers, height gauges, weld gauges).
  • Attention to Detail: High level of focus required to spot minute structural variations and defects consistently.
Welding & Visual Inspection
  • Weld Integrity Checks: Conduct routine, detailed checks on welds to ensure proper penetration, fusion, and adherence to specified standards.
  • Visual Inspection: Perform comprehensive visual inspections of raw materials, in-process components, and finished metal fabrications to identify surface defects, cracks, or irregularities.
  • Defect Identification: Immediately tag and isolate non-conforming or defective items to prevent them from moving further down the production line.
Dimensional Verification

  • Drawing Alignment: Review fabrication drawings and basic blueprints to verify that final product dimensions align exactly with design tolerances.
Documentation & Reporting

  • Data Entry: Enter quality metrics and inspection results into the internal tracking system or database.
  • Quote/Log Support: Ensure all dimensional deviations or quality issues are documented properly for the engineering and layout teams to review.
