Paramedic – Plantation Facility We are hiring a full‑time Paramedic to provide care in accordance with the State Medical Policies and Procedures. The paramedic demonstrates critical thinking, scientific judgment, and leadership in planning safe delivery of care, maintains clinical competencies through continuing education, and delegates patient care priorities. Responsibilities Greeting patients and visitors in a courteous and helpful manner. Escorting patients to dressing rooms and instructing on dressing out for procedures. Explaining exam procedures to patients as needed. Starting IV access using universal protection equipment and aseptic techniques. Properly disposing of contaminated medical supplies in biohazard waste containers. Restocking scan rooms with linen and contrast; emptying and replacing linen bags as needed. Restocking IV rooms and O2 tanks. Unloading supply boxes on arrival; reporting shortages to Chief Tech. Replacing robes on hangers, ensuring dirty robes go to the special linen bag for dry cleaning. Checking dressing rooms for cleanliness, clearing used gowns, and restocking gowns in cabinet. Ensuring saline flushes are ready for the next day. Assisting technologists with patient requests as needed. Other duties as assigned by the Clinic Administrator. Position Requirements High School graduation or GED equivalent. Paramedic/EMT license. ACLS and BLS certification required. Working knowledge of first aid. Ability to learn operation of fire suppression and other emergency equipment. Ability to perform strenuous physical activity in emergency situations. Ability to act effectively under stress. Ability to follow verbal and written instructions. Ability to communicate effectively in writing and verbally. Ability to establish effective working relationships with employees, other agencies, and the general public. Ability to make independent judgments that impact the organization. Familiarity with Microsoft Word, Excel, Outlook.
