At Fairfax Radiology Centers , our Lead Mammography Technologist combines clinical expertise with hands-on leadership. You’ll continue providing exceptional care to patients while helping guide, support, and develop the mammography team at our Reston-Herndon location.

What You'll Do
Serve as the day-to-day clinical lead for Mammography
Perform mammography and bone density exams
Coach, train, and support Mammography Technologists to promote clinical excellence
Partner with the Center Manager and Scheduling Supervisor on scheduling protocols, patient preparation, and physician orders
Adjust schedules and coordinate additional service needs to support patient access and workflow
Help manage operational challenges, including equipment downtime and scheduling changes
Maintain accurate records related to Quality Assurance procedures and equipment maintenance
Ensure mammography services meet established quality and safety standards
Deliver compassionate, patient-centered care with professionalism and exceptional customer service

Qualifications
Required
3+ years of Mammography experience
Advanced knowledge of Mammography Quality Assurance
ARRT RT(R) certification
Active Virginia Radiologic Technologist license
Basic Life Support (BLS) certification
Strong patient care and customer service skills

Compensation
Based on your qualifications and experience, the compensation range for this position is:
$42.40 - $49.88 - $57.36
Placement within the range is determined by factors including experience, education, certifications, and internal equity.
