This unit features 30 beds, where we provide care for a diverse range of patients, including those requiring step-down, medical-surgical, and swing bed services. Our patient population primarily consists of individuals with long-term and chronic illnesses, and we emphasize building strong relationships with both patients and their families throughout their healthcare journey.

Job Summary and Qualifications

The Registered Nurse will provide leadership that facilitates the delivery of professional nursing care, ensuring patient comfort and well-being. This role involves utilizing the nursing process—assessment, planning, implementation, and evaluation—to deliver, delegate, supervise, and document patient care and education for both patients and their families. You will also implement medically prescribed interventions.

Qualifications

• Preferred Experience: At least one year of nursing experience in a hospital setting.
• Required Education: Bachelor of Science in Nursing or enrollment in a BSN or advanced degree program, with a commitment to obtain a BSN within five years of starting the RN position. Exemptions may be granted by the facility CNO.
• Licensure/Certifications: Current licensure as a registered nurse with the North Carolina Board of Nursing. eNLC (Enhanced Nurse License Compact) license may apply; verification with NCBON is recommended.
• Certification: BLS Healthcare Provider certification is required.
