Our organization is seeking a Radiology Technologist to become a vital part of our Urgent Care team! In this role, you will engage in both clinical and administrative tasks within our healthcare settings, adhering to established policies and procedures. You will work under the guidance of a physician, handling patient intake, following standing orders or protocols, performing venipuncture, conducting laboratory tests, and ensuring patient follow-up. Additionally, you will administer medications—oral, intramuscular, subcutaneous, or intradermal—as directed by a provider, once you have demonstrated your skills to the Clinical Professional Development Specialist or their representative. Certified Clinical Care Specialists (CCSs) in Radiologic Technology will also be responsible for capturing and transmitting X-ray diagnostic images. Accurate documentation in medical records is essential, as is facilitating smooth patient flow.

• Flexibility to work at various locations within the system, performing all required duties across multiple entities.

Complete all mandatory training, including safety, infection control, OSHA, CPR, EMR, general compliance, harassment, and service protocols. Maintain cleanliness and readiness of equipment and patient rooms.
• Adopt new technologies and utilize the electronic health record effectively. Manage patient flow through consistent communication with patients and their families, prioritizing their comfort and time.
• Conduct additional testing and care in line with our practices, including spirometry/PFTs, measuring patient vitals and BMI, EKGs, vision and hearing assessments, splinting, and general patient care under medical supervision. Make follow-up calls regarding lab tests, patient experiences, and clinical results professionally.
• Perform venipuncture and selected laboratory tests (point of care); initiate care pathways as per policy. Execute X-rays based on medical provider orders, forwarding images to the appropriate radiologist for review, while ensuring the maintenance of X-ray equipment and adherence to safety protocols.
• Foster a respectful atmosphere for patients, families, vendors, and colleagues, maintaining professional communication.
• Deliver care that aligns with our mission, vision, and values, building patient confidence and loyalty by exceeding their expectations. Act as a patient escort throughout their care journey and assist with discharge processes, ensuring clarity for patients and their families.
• Assist team members during busy periods or delays in patient processing. Understand and engage in basic computer and patient intake tasks at the front desk. Support medical providers during patient examinations, testing, and education. Under supervision, prepare and administer oral medications and injections (limited to intradermal, subcutaneous, and intramuscular) after demonstrating competency.

• Associate degree.
• Completion of an accredited Radiologic Technology program.
• Experience through an externship in a medical or ambulatory health setting.
• Preferred: 2 years of experience in a medical office.
• ARRT (American Registry of Radiologic Technology) Certification.
• Valid Maryland, Virginia, or DC State License.
• BLS (Basic Life Support) certification.

This position offers a competitive salary range of USD $29.73 - USD $53.49 per hour.
