Job Summary The Sterile Processing Technician I (SP Tech I) is responsible for decontaminating, processing, and sterilizing instruments, supplies, and equipment by following established standards/guidelines. The SP Tech I demonstrates personal and professional effectiveness.

Minimum Qualifications

• Education: High School diploma or equivalent required.
• Completion of Central Service Technology Course/Or Equivalent Work Experience (at least one year experience in central sterile processing) Work Experience: One (1) Year Work Experience in Central Sterile Processing. Can substitute for Central Service Technology course.

Communication Skills: Above Average Verbal Communication (Heavy Public Contact), Writing/Reports (Legible handwriting and coherent writing)

Other Skills: Medical Terms (Surgical/ Medical Terminology Knowledge, Critical Thinking, Multi-task in a fast paced environment, Ability to lead projects,Monitor and interpret results of gauges & Research surgical instruments and supply companies), PC (Basic entry level)

Work Schedule: Weekends, Holidays, Flexible, On Call
