JOB OVERVIEW Job Title: Emergency Medicine Job Type: Locum Tenens Location: Raceland, LA Service Setting: Critical Access Hospital Coverage Type: Clinical Only Coverage Period: 08/03/2026 - Ongoing Clinical Shift Schedule: Flexible Schedule PATIENT INFORMATION Patient Demographics: Emergency Department Patients Patient Volume/Census: Approximately 19,000 Annual ED Visits Admissions: Included Case Mix: Emergency Medicine, Trauma, Acute Medical and Surgical Care FACILITY INFORMATION No. of Beds in Department: 6 ED Beds, 2 Fast Track Beds, 4 ICU Beds Trauma Level: Critical Access Hospital EMR System: Epic Office Equipment Available: Standard Emergency Department Resources Specialty Backup Available: Cardiology, Urology, Behavioral Health, Obstetrics & Gynecology, Infusion Services, and Wound Care Support Staff Available: NP/PA Coverage (10 Hours Daily) Physician Coverage: 24 Hours Daily Hospital Beds: 35

COMPENSATION & BENEFIT S Rate: TBD Travel, Lodging, and Malpractice Insurance: Covered REQUIRED PROCEDURES Emergency Medicine Procedures Trauma Evaluation and Stabilization Procedural Sedation and Airway Management JOB REQUIREMENTS Active Unrestricted Louisiana Medical License, DEA Registration with Louisiana Address, Louisiana Controlled Substance License Board Certified or Board Eligible in Emergency Medicine, Family Medicine, or Internal Medicine Active DEA ACLS, ATLS, PALS, and BLS New Graduates Accepted Other Qualifications: Residency Completion in Emergency Medicine, Family Medicine, Internal Medicine, or General Surgery; Must Meet Supervising Physician Requirements for NP/PA Oversight DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES Evaluate, Diagnose, and Treat Emergency Department Patients Manage Acute, Emergent, and Trauma-Related Conditions Supervise Advanced Practice Providers as Required Perform Emergency Procedures and Procedural Sedation Coordinate Admissions, Transfers, and Specialty Consultations Complete Accurate and Timely Documentation in Epic Deliver High-Quality Patient Care in a Critical Access Hospital Setting
