Social Worker (Bilingual in Mandarin OR Korean speaking) - Queens Affordable Housing at Selfhelp

Selfhelp seeks a Social Worker for its Queens affordable housing program to assess clients' needs and eligibility for in-home services, entitlements, and benefits, and to support community outreach efforts. Responsibilities Conduct intakes and provide information and referrals Screen and assist clients with applications and re-certifications for entitlements and benefits Assess clients in their home or other setting; develop, implement, and follow up on care plans Provide supportive counseling and maintain accurate case notes in the program's data system Facilitate social and recreational group activities and events Qualifications Bachelor's degree required; MSW strongly preferred Must speak either Mandarin or Korean Working knowledge of Microsoft Office; excellent communication and customer-service skills Able to multitask and work independently with strong attention to detail Salary: $64,000–$66,400 per year, commensurate with experience.
