Here, you’ll be supported in progressing – whatever your ambitions. 3rd Shift: 9:30 pm - 5:30 am, Monday pm - Saturday am About the role: With general supervisory direction, responsible for performing functions associated with all manufacturing operations in daily support of products, processes, materials, and equipment in order to achieve production goals (i.e., quality, delivery, cost, productivity, and safety). Daily tasks include responding to equipment downtimes issues on the production floor, performing routine preventative maintenance on production equipment, and supporting Manufacturing Engineers (ME) in value improvement projects. Most of your time is spent on the production floor, working on equipment, and engaging with our Medical Device Specialists (i.e. MDS operators). Your responsibilities will include: Apply mechanical, electrical, control, and pneumatic knowledge to troubleshoot and solve equipment and process problems for various automated equipment. Identify and troubleshoot process, material, or equipment problems to minimize downtime. Identify and implement corrective actions for manufacturing related issues. Perform equipment setup and corrective, preventive and calibration maintenance as necessary. Support equipment startups and shutdowns, which may include staying late to make sure equipment is in a safe-state. Install and validate equipment and processes in the production area to improve yield and/or reduce cycle time following the established validation procedure. Evaluate operating data to conduct on-line adjustments to products, instruments, or equipment. May develop or revise documents and procedures. Modify existing and develop new tooling and fixtures. Evaluate and order necessary equipment, tools and fixtures. Work with vendors/suppliers to procure and install tooling, fixtures, and/or equipment. Responsible for quality and adheres to manufacturing process requirements, the Boston Scientific Corporation Quality Policy and the Strategic Quality Process (SQP). Proactively communicate quality issues and concerns. Understand and apply a solid understanding of Lean Manufacturing and related principles. Assist in Value Improvement (VIP) and implementing new equipment or processes or improving existing ones for cost savings. Collect data and perform statistical analysis for process improvement and scrap reduction goals. Work with Process Development to integrate new products and equipment into production. Work with departmental customers to improve material quality and delivery. Train and provide technical support or direction to product builders and other technicians. Understand and apply flex strategy, rotate as necessary and work well with all group members, both within the team and cross-functionally. Actively participate in Shared Responsibility and continuous improvement teams. Understand, follow and promote all BSC and site-specific policies and procedures. Observe and comply with all safety rules and regulations. This includes QSR and ISO Standards. Responsible for attending and passing all core required BSC and site-specific training (i.e. QS Basics, RTK, Lean Training). Mandatory Weekend OT is required on a rotation recurring basis. Current OT requirement is minimum once (Saturday and Sunday) every 4 weeks. Required qualifications: 1 year of experience with an AA degree or an equivalent combination of education/work experience. Preferred qualifications: Strong mechanical and troubleshooting skills. Strong attendance history. Self-motivated to seek out opportunities to improve business performance. Communicates well with peers about issues/problems that arise. Previous technical line support experience in the Medical Device manufacturing. Previous experiences in working with Manufacturing Automation. Familiar with PLC wiring and control troubleshooting.
