Job Description

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

• Perform dimensional, visual, and electrical inspections at receiving, in-process, and final inspection stages in accordance with applicable drawings, specifications, procedures, and quality standards.
• Identify, document, and communicate nonconformances, quality deficiencies, and process deviations, supporting timely corrective action and resolution.
• Review work instructions, process documentation, and special process requirements to verify compliance with established quality standards and customer requirements.
• Collect, analyze, and report quality inspection results, trends, and performance metrics to management.
• Perform receiving, shipping, and packaging inspections to ensure materials and finished products meet applicable requirements.
• Coordinate with production, engineering, and other relevant departments to resolve quality issues, support audits, and ensure compliance with quality requirements.
• Maintain accurate inspection records, reports, and supporting documentation in accordance with established procedures.
• Assist with internal and external quality audits and support continuous improvement initiatives to enhance product quality and process compliance.
• Regular and predictable attendance is considered an essential function of all roles at Fairlead, and employees are expected to meet this standard.
• Other duties may be assigned to meet business needs

Qualifications and Experience

• High School Diploma or GED
• 2-5 Years experience as a Quality Inspector OR
• 5-10 Years experience in machining, electrical or fabrication
• Strong verbal and written communication skills

Physical Requirements

• While performing these job duties, the employee is routinely required to stand; walk; sit; use hands to finger, handle, or feel objects, tools or controls; use fingers and hands to type or write; reach with hands and arms; talk or hear; taste or smell. Specific vision abilities required by the job include close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and the ability to adjust focus. Must be able to lift 50 pounds.

Work Environment

• This position is performed in a traditional manufacturing environment, with some local travel between facilities.
