TravelNurseSource is working with Cynet Health to find a qualified Labor/Delivery RN in Midland, Texas, 79701!

Job Title: Registered Nurse Profession: Nursing Specialty: Labor and Delivery Duration: 13 weeks Shift: Day Hours per Shift: 12 Experience: Minimum 2 years of experience required License: Active nursing license required Certifications: - BLS - ACLS - NRP - NIHSS Must-Have: - Previous charge experience required - Patient ratio experience preferred - Cerner charting system experience preferred Description: Start date preferred within the next 3-5 weeks. RN will rotate through triage, antepartum, labor, and circulatory duties. No postpartum responsibilities are required. Certifications in ACLS, AWHONN Advanced, AWHONN Intermediate, BLS, FHM, NRP, and NIHSS are required. Skills should include administration of blood and blood products, antepartum care, and management of high-risk deliveries. Assistance with sterile speculum exams and vaginal deliveries is essential. Experience with cesarean sections, circulating for C-sections, and drawing venous blood is necessary. Knowledge of epidural anesthesia is beneficial. Management of magnesium sulfate therapy and recognition of abnormal fetal heart rate patterns are required. Experience with the use of external and internal fetal monitoring is preferred. Candidates should be familiar with IV management and use of infusion pumps. Patient care includes working with neonates, infants, and adults. Daily census can fluctuate with approximately 20 visits per day. Candidates must be prepared to work some holidays. An on-site drug screening will be conducted prior to hiring. Failure in any aspect of the screening will result in disqualification from the position.
