This role assists with patient intake clinical procedures patient education documentation and coordination of care while maintaining compliance with organizational policies regulatory requirements and quality ResponsibilitiesGreet and assist patients in a courteous professional and compassionate patients and obtain/document vital signs medical histories and other relevant information in the exam and procedure rooms and ensure supplies and equipment are available and providers during examinations treatments and office-based physician-ordered laboratory diagnostic imaging and other clinical orders into the provider instructions patient education materials test results and follow-up information as patient calls and messages escalate urgent concerns appropriately and support prescription refill workflows according to established accurate clinical documentation while ensuring patient confidentiality and HIPAA disinfect and sterilize equipment and clinical areas in accordance with OSHA guidelines and infection control front office functions including scheduling and patient check-in/check-out as effectively with providers patients and team members to promote quality patient care and a positive patient other duties as assigned to support the overall success of the department and & ExperienceCurrent CPR certification of an accredited Medical Assistant program required or equivalent healthcare training and experience preferred.1 year of healthcare or clinical experience & CompetenciesStrong customer service communication and patient engagement of medical terminology clinical procedures and patient care with EMR systems and standard computer organizational skills with the ability to prioritize multiple tasks in a fast-paced to work collaboratively maintain professionalism and confidentiality and follow HIPAA OSHA and safety Conditions (modify the below as necessary)Work is primarily performed in a clinical office setting and involves frequent telephone and in-person communication with patients and role involves continuous engagement and interaction with others and may involve occasional or frequent work environment reflects typical conditions found in a medical practice including exposure to standard clinical equipment patient interactions and administrative is potential exposure to common medical practice conditions including communicable diseases bodily fluids and chemical demands include walking bending reaching lifting up to 20 pounds stooping assisting patients and prolonged periods of position may also involve occasional stress due to multiple responsibilities and competing job description outlines the general nature and responsibilities of the role and is not an exhaustive list of duties or requirements.
