Position Overview Boeing Commercial Airplanes (BCA) is seeking an EXPERIENCED LEAN PRACTITIONER (LEVEL 4) to join the BOEING COMMERCIAL AIRPLANES LEAN, COMPLIANCE & DIGITAL TEAM in the Puget Sound region, including RENTON, WASHINGTON or EVERETT, WASHINGTON, on 1st Shift. Key Responsibilities Instruct others in continuous improvement tools and principles. Develop and update instructional materials. Mentor future instructors and less experienced practitioners. Work with internal or external customers. Lead and facilitate complex process improvement efforts. Identify risks and opportunities for improvement. Create enhancements to existing improvement tools. Support the development and deployment of new tools. Assist in business acquisition and evaluation processes. Apply an interdisciplinary, collaborative approach with internal and external partners. Leverage knowledge of manufacturing processes, Lean Six Sigma, safety, quality, productivity and affordability to shape planning, development, and execution of Boeing Production Systems solutions. Assist high‑leverage opportunities within Boeing Commercial Airplane programs. Coordinate and integrate multi‑disciplined product teams for planning, complex problem solving, decision making and risk management. Ensure technical, quality, cost and schedule performance meet current and future program requirements. Guide effective application and integration of Lean implementation across Boeing Commercial Airplane. Operationalize data analytics into daily Lean practice and priorities. Represent Lean / continuous improvement function in program reviews and strategic planning. Assess business capability and capacity; represent the Lean improvements function in program reviews. Basic Qualifications (Required) 5+ years of experience implementing lean principles, including identifying opportunities and making recommendations for value stream improvements that resulted in improved business position through culture transformation. 5+ years of experience planning and facilitating Lean+ workshops (e.g., BPSM, AIW, 3P, Kaizen, VSM, Process Mapping, AIW, DK). Preferred Qualifications Bachelor’s degree or higher. Project management certification. Knowledge and application of the Boeing Production System (BPS). Previous experience with business case development, stakeholder alignment, benefits capture, institutionalization and continuous improvements. Pay is based upon candidate experience and qualifications, as well as market and business considerations. Summary pay range: $124,950 – $169,050.
