Amanda Programmer/Analyst (Business Analyst Focus)

The Business Analyst conducts interviews with the business users and subject matter experts to collect and document business requirements and present them in standard templates. The ideal candidate should have prior experience as a Business Analyst for AMANDA enterprise permit and licensing application from Granicus (formerly Calytera).

Responsibilities

• Prepare for business requirement meetings
• Prepare participants with information for the purpose of requirement analysis meeting
• Explain AMANDA features and capabilities
• Assist with AMANDA software configuration and workflow capabilities
• Conduct interviews and detailed requirement gatherings during the meetings with the Business Offices.
• Gather requirements in standard templates
• Document template and reporting capabilities within AMANDA software
• Present demo of configured AMANDA application
• Document pre-condition and post-action event rules in AMANDA software
• Standardize and document various processes in AMANDA software
• Assess and review the business capabilities with each Business Office
• Assist in the documentation and analysis of business scope, standardization, requirements, user stories, test cases, success criteria, etc.
• Prepare process flow documentation
• Review and validate requirements with the technical team
• Conduct requirement reviews with Business Offices for signoff
• Provide input to the Solutions Architect and development team for implementation
• Provide support to the QA team during the testing phases of the project
• Assist in the UAT and User Training activities

General Skills

• Ability to generate insights from information for standardization
• Experience working in AGILE with understanding of Scrum processes
• Experience working with Microsoft Visio to depict Business process Flows
• Good documentation skills and being able to articulate business requirements in an understandable form including documenting Functional Specifications
• Good presentation skills and be able to demonstrate to business users
• Expertise in translating business requirements to technical requirements
• Work with business teams as well as technical team
• Experience in Requirements management tool like JIRA, Azure DevOps.

Reason for the Openings

• Want to speed up their AMANDA platform implementation deadline. They have 20 contractors right now and are looking to add another possible 30 folks total. Starting with these BAs for now.
• Current project deadline is for January 2024 and they want to move that up to May/June 2023 to have the core work done and then after that have the wish list items wrapped up by January 2024.

Day to Day for This Person

• Gathering requirements and creating user stories
• Create test cases
• They have someone else doing the data mapping with Visio but this person might need to do some presentation of the mapping documents but not required they have experience with this
• True 50/50 functional/technical BA

Must Have

• 4+ Years of BA experience – mid level BA with full SDLC project experience
• Experience gathering requirements and converting those into user stories
• Experience creating/writing test cases
• Experience working with Azure DevOps
• MUST HAVE THEIR OWN EQUIPMENT

Nice to Have

• Government, licensing or regulated industry background
• AMANDA – no need to focus on this, they have many folks on the team already that have AMANDA experience
